Eben joined the FHS staff in September 2007. He works with the digitization and cataloging of the historical photograph collection, manages the FHS Environmental History Bibliography, and produces EAD finding aids of archival collections. His previous archival work includes several years with the Missouri State Archives.
- Jamie Lewis, Historian
Historian James Lewis was a freelance writer prior to coming to FHS in 2003. He researches and writes book-length projects on forest and conservation history, edits the Society's magazine - Forest History Today, provides reference assistance, and handles other special writing and editing assignments.
- Cheryl Oakes, Librarian/Archivist
Librarian Cheryl Oakes is the director of the Society's library and archives program. An FHS employee since 1990, she manages the Society's research resources and provides reference assistance to staff and patrons alike.
- Shaun Trujillo, Intern
Shaun is a student in the School of Information and Library Science at the University of Chapel Hill who was seeking experience in archives. He has helped to process two new collections from opening the boxes upon arrival, to researching company and biographical information, to organizing and describing the collections in EAD finding aids.
- Camille Tyndall, Intern
Camille is a student in the School of Information and Library Science at the University of Chapel Hill with an interest in archives. She has helped to update our archives inventory and to process a newly received collection.
- Claire Williams, Distinguised Scholar in Residence
Claire is a widely published forest geneticist with a passion for history. She is working on a history of the Lost Pines region of Texas, a unique population of loblolly pine that holds value in climate change discussions.
