Image Title: Buildings--North Carolina: Biltmore Estate (Asheville, North Carolina).
Image Caption: View of Mt. Pisgah and the Pisgah Range from the south terrace of the Biltmore Mansion. The estate once comprised 145,000 acres, now 12,000. In 1916, some 80,000 acres were purchased by the Federal Government, under provisions of the Weeks Law, and became the nucleus of the Pisgah National Forest. The mountains in the distance are now within the national forest.
