[This house was known as the Wicker Sharpe house and served as the summer residence for Biltmore Forest School founder Carl Alwin Schenck (1869-1955). The house was located near the "Pinkbeds", a 6000-acre tract of land on the Pisgah Forest named for the brilliant pink colors of rhododendron, laurels, and azaleas.]
