Image Caption:  Lot 334, Dir. 7, Clinch Co., Georgia [west of Cogdell]. Land bled, then logged. Much timber down after that; all remaining trees boxed again. As result of operation, bad from owner's viewpoint, land is to be sold for debt. Longleaf. Clayey subsoil.

The photographs document forestry and turpentining practices in the pine forests of the southeastern United States.]
