Image Title: [Block clearcut in] Rugged Terrain [in Washington State].
Image Caption: Rugged country like this in the Olympic National Forest of Western Washington doesn't slow down a modern logging operation. In this type of country modern logging operators use the "block cutting" method. Strips of forest are clear cut and other blocks of trees are left untouched to provide the seed for reforesting the cutover land.
