Hall's career with the U.S. Forest Service, 1906-1933, during which time he served as supervisor of the Hell Gate, Big Hole, Deerlodge, Alamo, Carson, Tonto, and Santiam National Forests in Montana, New Mexico, Arizona, and Oregon.
