Image Caption:  Thirteen million feet of Idaho white pine are caught in this jam in the Clearwater River in central Idaho. Each spring the Potlatch Forests of Lewiston, Idaho uses the Clearwater River to transport its logs to the mill storage pond. Note growth of young pines covering both sides of the Clearwater River gorge.
