Image Caption:  This is a scene of the jam which was mostly logs mixed with enough ice which occurred near Lenore, Idaho, on the main Clearwater River. A day or two before this picture was taken the center part of this jam broke loose and the twisting of the logs and ice emitted sounds that could be heard for several miles.
