Image Title:  Wanigan.
Image Caption:  This picture shows the new type wanigan at its mooring near Elk Creek on the Clearwater River. You will note that there are 3 rubber pontoons holding up each of the 3 buildings. The center building is the cook house and dining room and each end contains the bunk houses or sleeping quarters for the men. These three sections were lashed together and piloted down the river as one craft.
