Image Title: A Liability
Image Caption: A LIABILITY: Green forests are an asset, but burned forests, like that here shown, are a liability. And man, carelessly or wantonly, is still responsible for more than 63% of all forest fires which started, during 1933, on or near the National Forests. Smokers--careless with matches, cigarettes, cigars and pipes--were responsible for more than 45% of those preventable fires just mentioned: campers--thoughtless of their own safety and the pleasure and safety of others--started nearly 18% of them. So--be careful when you visit your National Forest. Devastation after the Boise-Payette fire on Pearsal Creek. Payette National Forest, Idaho. (12-253,317)
