  • Anderson, Byron. "Biographical Portrait: James Oliver Curwood (1878-1927)." Forest History Today (Spring/Fall 2003): 42-44. On the life and career of this American journalist, conservationist, and writer of popular fiction whose many novels often included depictions of the natural wonders of the Canadian wilderness.
  • Rajala, Richard A. "A Political Football: Federal-Provincial Cooperation in British Columbia Forests, 1930-1995." Forest History Today (Spring/Fall 2003): 29-40. Examines the influence of economic trends and changes in political leadership on the implementation of national forest policy in the province of British Columbia in Canada.
  • McLean Mill National Historic Site. "History on the Road." Forest History Today (Spring 2002): 40. Describes the history of McLean Mill National Historic Site, a restored steam-powered mill first operated by Robert Bartlett McLean in the early twentieth century, located north of Port Alberni, British Columbia, Canada. Also lists the interpretive programs offered by the living history logging museum.
  • Parminter, John. "Tom Wright: Pioneer British Columbia Forester and Tree Farmer." Forest History Today (Spring 2002): 21-28.
