The library collects myriad
published materials, including: journals and magazines; books; maps and
newsclippings; reference works; and annual reports and newsletters from
companies, government agencies, conservation organizations, and environmental
groups. FHS library staff members regularly examine all such resources
to locate historical information pertinent to the library's reference
mission. We list these items in our Environmental
History Bibliographic Database. Of the 40,000 individual items presently
described in the bibliography, more than 3,000 publications relate to
Canada's forest, conservation, and environmental history.
